Having gone 1-0 down through Nicolas Pépé’s wonder-strike that bent into the top left corner midway through the second half, Albion responded when Lewis Dunk turned the ball over the line to bring the score level.
Potter’s side weren’t done though and grabbed the all-important winner in the dying embers of the fixture as Aaron Connolly audaciously lifted the ball over the Arsenal defence, finding Neal Maupay who converted past Emiliano Martinez.
Potter said, “It feels amazing, a big three points for us. Certainly coming from a goal down in the Premier League isn’t easy to do without a crowd here to push us on.
The boys found something in them, I am so proud of them, it’s an incredible effort.
“You don’t play football on the side, you play it on the pitch and you can see that we are there to fight.
"We know where we are at, we know the margins are small in the Premier League and you have to turn them in your favour and that’s what we have tried to do. Regardless of the table we have to keep fighting and that’s what I think we saw today.

“Hopefully the supporters enjoyed watching it wherever they are, it’s important that they are there with us, even if they are not with us in body shall we say.
"They are so important for us and we’re sure we made them happy this evening which is great.
“It’s a massive goal for Neal, a reward for his work, he worked tirelessly for the team. Closing, pressing out of possession. It was a nice goal at the end, and what a way to win a game of football.
“His collision with Leno was quite far away from me, it just looked like they were running towards the ball and the momentum has carried Neal into the goalkeeper. We wish him a speedy recovery, it’s not something we want to see.
“I didn’t know Lewis scored the first goal! But I am really pleased for him. He’s led us really well over a tricky period and he’s an important player and person for us. His quality is there and I am delighted that he could get on the scoresheet.”
