Melissa Phillips believes Albion are building momentum after they made it three successive wins to reach the quarter-finals of the Conti League Cup.
Wednesday’s 2-1 win over Championship pacesetters Charlton Athletic means Albion will go into Friday’s last-eight draw having topped Group E with a 100% record.
Goals from Jorelyn Carabali and Tatiana Pinto sealed victory, with Kayleigh Green grabbing a late consolation against her former club. It will give Albion plenty of belief ahead of Saturday's WSL match against leaders Chelsea at the Broadfield Stadium.
Head coach Phillips said, “You can use these games to build confidence and we’ve really done that. We dominated the ball and got into some good positions. I would like us to have scored some more goals in the second half but, as a team, you can see that we are growing.

“If you look at all three games in the competition we’ve had some professional performances and scored some really good goals.
“Charlton was a challenge for us because they are so robust and organised but we played some good football tonight.
“We wanted to give everyone a run and still stay fresh for the next one. Chelsea on Saturday is a big game but there’s no doubt we played well against the top four sides in the first half of the season, including Chelsea. It’s a big challenge but one we are looking forward to.”
