Everybody at the club is saddened to learn of the passing of former Albion youth coach Colin Smart.
Colin is fondly remembered for the three under-17 titles he won alongside fellow coaches John Byrne and John Lambert â during 23 years of loyal service to the club.
Colin helped produce 41 first-team players for league clubs, both in the UK and overseas, who between them racked up more than 6,000 senior appearances â including international footballers for England, Scotland, Wales and the Philippines.
That total includes current Albion captain Lewis Dunk.
He worked very closely with Dean Wilkins, Martin Hinshelwood and Vic Bragg, and Colin holds a special place in this club's history â and his passion for the Albion continued as a season-ticket holder at the Amex.
The club pass on their sincere condolences to Colin's family and friends at this sad time.
