Andrew Moran says fellow Irishman Evan Ferguson is an inspiration to the young players at the club.
The striker has made a big impact in the last few weeks after scoring in back-to-back Premier League games against Arsenal and Everton, but Andrew first glimpsed his qualities in Republic of Ireland youth age group games.
“I started playing with him when I was 14 or 15 with the Ireland squads, but he was always playing with the age group above. When I first saw him, he was a beast! We couldn't believe he was that young, he's such a good player and a sound guy too.

It's so good to see him score in two consecutive games, I am so happy for him.
“We are spurring each other on. We made our Brighton debuts at the same time during the Cardiff City [Carabao Cup] game last season [August 2021] and then I saw him make his Premier League debut last year as well.
“I was at the [Burnley] game with James Furlong and seeing him do that shows there is a pathway at Brighton. If you are good enough there are going to be chances for you. It inspires you to want to follow in his footsteps.”
