Jakub Moder was involved in two of Poland's goals against Albania in September.

Belgium and Poland both secured three points in World Cup qualifying on Thursday with Jakub Moder and Leandro Trossard playing their part for their countries.

The Red Devils had an early shock when they went behind to Estonia, but goals from Hans Vanaken and Romelu Lukaku settled the nerves, before Trossard setup Axel Witsel as Belgium cruised to a 5-2 victory.

Trossard played the full 90 minutes in Tallinn – his ninth cap for his country.

Moder on the other hand saw his 12th-minute free-kick nodded back across goal by Kamil Glik, with Robert Lewandowski heading Poland into the lead against Albania in Warsaw.

The 22-year-old was also involved in his country’s final goal of the night in their 4-1 win, cutting open the Albanian defence with a ball through for Karol Swiderski, who pulled it back for Karol Linetty to fire in late on.

The results see Roberto Martinez’s side sit top of Group E with 10 points from their opening four games, while Poland are second in Group I, which is currently led by England. Poland host England next Wednesday in Warsaw.

Moder and his teammates will be expected to win their next match against San Marino on Sunday, while Belgium have the slightly trickier test of facing the Czech Republic on the same day.

Robert Sanchez was an unused substitute for Spain, as Luis Enrique’s men suffered a surprise 2-1 defeat to Sweden in Stockholm.
