Solly March insists there is no need to panic despite back-to-back defeats in the Premier League.
Albion are yet to taste victory under Roberto De Zerbi, but played out a thrilling 3-3 draw at Anfield in the Italianâs first game as head coach and didnât perform badly against Spurs last weekend or Brentford on Friday.
De Zerbiâs side created a host of chances against the Bees but couldnât quite find the finishing touch, and Solly believes those fine details will soon come.
âImmediately after the game on Friday we were very frustrated and disappointed, but we watched it back and there were lots of positives to take.
âItâs just the fine margins going against us at the moment. Weâre creating chances and the main thing is we are getting in those good positions. If we werenât, there would be a lot more to worry about.
âWe just need to trust the gaffer and trust the process. Maybe itâs taking a little longer than we thought but weâll keep training hard. Weâre working on the final details, theyâre what matter most and we will get there.
âOnce you have a few bad results that little bit of pressure builds but it doesnât need to. The main thing is the performances and theyâre really close to what we want. If we keep playing well we will get the first win for us, for Roberto and for the fans.â
That first victory under De Zerbi could come tonight as Nottingham Forest travel to the Amex bottom of the Premier League.
But while March is confident he can help Albion return to winning ways, the winger is also aware Forest will be just as keen to get three points and are capable of that with the help of a familiar face in former Albion loanee Jesse Lingard.
Jesse Lingard scored four goals in 17 appearances for Albion.
âForest will be up for the fight but if we can match that we can get the win 100%. Weâll work hard for it,â said March.
âEvery game in this league is difficult and theyâre going to be fighting for their lives. Theyâve got some strong players and we need to be up for the battle.
âJesse is obviously one of those players. He was here a long time ago now but we know all about his ability. You donât play for Manchester United for as long as he did without good quality.
âIt only takes one moment for players like him to change a game so we have to be wary of that. But if we defend well and can fight as much as them then hopefully our quality will shine through.â
