Alexis Mac Allister has enjoyed helping Marc Cucurella settle in at Albion during a successful season for both players.Â
The former Getafe defender has already built up a reputation as a joker in the Albion dressing room, which Alexis has enjoyed as he helped his fellow Spanish speaker settle in following his move last August.Â
âWe balance each other out. Marc is like Florin Andone in that they talk all the time! But theyâre really good guys," Mac Allister explained.
Alexis has enjoyed having Spanish speakers in the dressing room, such as Marc Cucurella and Robert Sanchez.
âI tried to help Marc when he first arrived because I knew that itâs hard to come from another country and another league. But he has done fantastically well, heâs had amazing support from his family as well.
âItâs been really nice having the Spanish speaking players here. We have Moises [Caicedo], Rob [Sanchez], Cucu and Steven [Alzate]. We have a great time together every single day and thatâs fantastic for me.
âItâs been really helpful for me settling in. Those boys have all had a really good season as well.â
Moises Caicedo finished the season in some fashion, as Albion won five of the eight Premier League games he played in, losing only one.
Caicedoâs start to Premier League life since his top-tier debut at Arsenal has impressed Albionâs Argentina international.
âMoises has had his first run in the team and he has been amazing. It can be tough when you make your first appearance for a new club, especially in the Premier League, but he looks like he has played for us for a long time.
âI am very happy for him and, as I told him, he needs to keep working and he will be a really important player for this club.â
