Adam Lallana is loving the latest chapter of his stellar career with Albion and insists there is a lot more to come.
Lallana has featured in every one of Albion's five Premier League games since joining from Liverpool in July and hopes to be part of the team which takes on West Brom at the Amex tonight.
He said, "It has been great playing regular football and having a different challenge but there is still plenty more to come.
"I'm still not at the level yet that I want to be performance and fitness wise but I need to be a bit patient and realise it is going to take a little bit of time.
"I've had it before when you put pressure on yourself to be at a certain level and you're just fighting it.
"I am trying to relax and trust the process and know that it will come. There are signs that you see as a player when you know you are going in the right direction and that's how I feel."
At 32 he is one of the more experienced members of the squad and Lallana says he has enjoyed working with the younger players.
"It does not feel like a young team technically, or ability-wise, but maybe it shows mentally that there are sides of our game we can improve in terms of the way we manage games.
"But technically and physically the young lads are brave and they want the ball, which is really refreshing.
"I don't feel like I'm a 32-year-old or that I'm close to hanging the boots up, especially in the dressing room. There's a nice mix of age ranges and I wouldn't say I act any differently to the other lads, I'm still messing about and having a bit of banter."
Albion added another experienced face to the squad last week in striker Danny Welbeck, who hopes to play his part tonight, and Lallana believes his former England team-mate can make an impression.
"Danny has got a wealth of experience and will be great for the lads to learn from.
"We have seen already in the first couple of training sessions what a player he is and what an acquisition he is for Brighton. He will give us a new dimension."
