Albion women are ready to bounce back against Everton in the WSL this Saturday, according to the Finnish defender.

Three points for Albion could move them up to second the Barclays FA Women's Super League on Saturday.

Emma Koivisto is confident Albion can continue their fine Women’s Super League form this weekend when they take on Everton.

Albion were knocked out in the semi-finals of the Vitality FA Cup on Sunday, suffering a 3-0 defeat to Arsenal.

“The first half was okay, we went in at 0-0 at the break and there’s a lot of positives to take from the game,” the 27-year-old said. “We have moved on though.

“We have started the season really well overall, we only had the one game against Aston Villa where we maybe weren’t at our best. But we can’t get ahead of ourselves, we’re only six games into the season so we can’t look too much at the table at the moment.

“We have performed well in games, the results have mostly been the ones we have aimed for.”

The right-back is confident that there’s still plenty of room for improvement.

“On the ball we can be more patient, making sure that we link up as best as we can. Defensively we’re in a good place though, we are compact when we need to be, but also have that flexibility for the full-backs to push forward to when possible.

Albion won in their last WSL outing - a 2-1 victory over Tottenham.

“The attitude and mentality has changed and developed during my time here. We’ve taken another step in the right direction and that’s important if we want to do well this season.

“I know the club has previously had a slow start in the league and then kicked on after Christmas, so it’s good to have this early momentum.”
