Michal Karbownik wants to show Graham Potter he is ready to play in the Premier League.
The 19-year-old made his debut for the club in the 1-0 defeat to the Foxes on Wednesday, and although disappointed to be knocked out of the competition he was proud to make his first appearance.
“I am very happy to have made my debut for Brighton, but I need to keep going and focus on the next game. We were unlucky to be knocked out the way we were.
“We played well as a team – we were aggressive in defence and we also created some chances, but this kind of ending can happen in a cup competition – they had a chance and they took it.”

The October arrival from Legia Warsaw believes his game is progressing well with his new club.
“I grow as a player and a person every day – it's a good club to develop and I am delighted to be here. I also really like Brighton itself, it's a nice place.
“I am enjoying working with the manager [Graham Potter], I believe he's happy with how I am getting on.
“I am fighting every day in training to show him that I am ready to play in the Premier League.
“I played on the right against Leicester, but I feel good playing on either side of defence or in midfield, but I don't mind where I play as long as I am in the team.”
