James Beadle's new contract runs until June 2026.

We are pleased to confirm that James Beadle has signed a new contract that runs until June 2026.

The under-21s goalkeeper arrived from Charlton Athletic in January 2022 and has made 15 Premier League 2 appearances.

James said, “I’ve really enjoyed my first year here, I have come on leaps and bounds in that time and I know I can carry that on here.

“I really enjoy working with [lead academy goalkeeping coach] Sal Bibbo and Shannon Ruth, I trust them with my development, so it was an easy decision to sign the new contract.”

The goalkeeper joined us from Charlton Athletic in January 2022.

Under-21s head coach Ruth added, “James has progressed really well in his year with us so far and we’re delighted that he’s committed his long-term future to the club to continue his development.

“I’ve been really happy with the way he has settled with us and I am looking forward to seeing him kick on even further in the second half of this season.”

The 18-year-old has also represented England up to under-18 level.
