After much talk about our home form in the build up to Saturdayâs game against Liverpool, Pascal Gross was delighted to secure three points in front of our supporters.
Roberto De Zerbi had spoken before the game about picking up more points at the Amex and his team delivered on that with a stunning 3-0 victory over the Reds, our fourth win in nine home league games this season.
âThe fans deserve it,â Pascal said. âWe donât always get the results that we want at home. Itâs a good result and I hope they enjoyed the day.
âItâs up there with the best performances weâve ever had in the Premier League. Weâve had special moments in the Premier League and thatâs one of them.
âAt the moment we donât seem to have a problem scoring goals, but we have to keep working. Itâs not easy and in the first half against Liverpool we should have been in front, but we werenât so clinical. We came out and kept pushing which isnât always easy. We deserved to win.â
De Zerbiâs team have scored three or more goals in seven of their 15 games since his arrival, which Pascal puts down to the bravery he and his teammates show in possession.
The midfielder has made 191 appearances for Albion.
âItâs a unique way to play, but itâs very enjoyable. We play bravely, we give each other options, we have an idea of how we can beat our opponent based on what they do. The head coach is crazy about football in a positive way. We all enjoy it, we all have fun.
âHe is obsessed. We know in every situation what to do and you can see that on the pitch.
âHe wants everyone to be on the same page, there is no first XI, we are a whole squad all working together. If weâd had different players on the pitch on Saturday I donât think it would have made a difference.â
