After much talk about our home form in the build up to Saturdayās game against Liverpool, Pascal Gross was delighted to secure three points in front of our supporters.
Roberto De Zerbi had spoken before the game about picking up more points at the Amex and his team delivered on that with a stunning 3-0 victory over the Reds, our fourth win in nine home league games this season.
āThe fans deserve it,ā Pascal said. āWe donāt always get the results that we want at home. Itās a good result and I hope they enjoyed the day.
āItās up there with the best performances weāve ever had in the Premier League. Weāve had special moments in the Premier League and thatās one of them.
āAt the moment we donāt seem to have a problem scoring goals, but we have to keep working. Itās not easy and in the first half against Liverpool we should have been in front, but we werenāt so clinical. We came out and kept pushing which isnāt always easy. We deserved to win.ā
De Zerbiās team have scored three or more goals in seven of their 15 games since his arrival, which Pascal puts down to the bravery he and his teammates show in possession.
The midfielder has made 191 appearances for Albion.
āItās a unique way to play, but itās very enjoyable. We play bravely, we give each other options, we have an idea of how we can beat our opponent based on what they do. The head coach is crazy about football in a positive way. We all enjoy it, we all have fun.
āHe is obsessed. We know in every situation what to do and you can see that on the pitch.
āHe wants everyone to be on the same page, there is no first XI, we are a whole squad all working together. If weād had different players on the pitch on Saturday I donāt think it would have made a difference.ā
