Roberto De Zerbi says that he will make a number of changes to the team to face Bournemouth on Sunday.
Albion have to contend with five matches in the next fortnight, as we compete on three fronts – the Premier League, Europa League and Carabao Cup.
“We will have to make a lot of changes,” he said. “But if I analyse the first 11 of Liverpool, Aston Villa and West Ham yesterday you can find a lot of changes. Especially for us it’s different because we are not used to playing so many games.
“West Ham last year played Conference League, Liverpool have played in the Champions League and Europa League, but we are not used to it. We have to change, we have to get everyone ready because we have a great squad and we have to adapt, not only as coaches and players but also a club, the people who work inside. We don’t have as many days off for example.
The Italian may well opt to change who he names in between the sticks against the Cherries.
Jason Steele has started our last two matches.
Jason Steele has started the last two matches, having sat on the bench for the two games prior, with Bart Verbruggen coming into the team.
“I haven’t decided the goalkeeper for Bournemouth, but both are at the same level,” Roberto explained. “They have different characteristics; Jason Steele is older and he knows better the Premier League. Bart Verbruggen is younger and is new for Brighton, to the Premier League. But they both have great potential.”
