Around 450 staff including 60 who are employed by Sodexo at Newcastle United, Everton, Liverpool, Ipswich and Ascot racecourse will join those normally on duty at the Amex to provide catering services for supporters.
Sodexo's catering services director at the Amex Andy Perkins explained, “As our supporters are aware, we have been working hard to get back to full speed since the start of the season as we emerged from the lockdowns and closed stadiums.
“We are using additional staff this weekend and I’d like to thank everyone involved who is coming down to the Amex to help us.
“Students are now coming back to local universities and that will help increase our matchday workforce. We are working hard to get back to full speed, but we would respectfully ask fans to help us where they can by arriving early, being patient and ready to place their order when they get to the kiosks.”
Fans are reminded that the Amex is now a cashless venue and contactless payment is encouraged across all areas of the stadium.
