The Premier League announced on Friday that games will be postponed until 4th April due to the outbreak. Barber has emphasised the club’s desire to keep working as normally as is possible.
He said, “Everyone in the club is calm, realistic and respectful of the situation. People understand that we have to be seen to be doing the right thing generally.
“Players want to carry on training and be prepared to play games, we don’t know yet whether that will be possible next month, but we have to be ready if it is.
“We’ll keep working day by day as the situation changes, and we’ll retain our professionalism all the way through.
“Everyone wants to help support our game and sport and the government. Sometimes that simply requires being patient while government policy unfolds.

“We want to support the Premier League, the FA and the EFL and the best way we can do that is to be as consistent as we can on as many things as possible to work through this situation.
“My message to our fans and staff is to follow the guidelines out there and keep watching the news for updates. If we’re all responsible, then we all have a fair chance of coming through this as positively as possible.”
