Graham Potter has said society needs to 'cherish the differences amongst us' as Stonewall's Rainbow Laces campaign for 2020 comes to end.
Whether that's sexuality, race or religion, the head coach wants to see football as a welcoming environment for all.
“The environment at times around sexuality is not acceptable, from a crowd perspective. You could have a group of males where there's that macho masculinity. We need to take a step back from and understand that everybody is different.

“Everybody should be welcomed regardless of their sexuality, religion or the colour of their skin. Regardless of anything we should work towards a more kinder society, to genuinely understand, appreciate and cherish the differences amongst us.”
The 45-year-old says he would be happy to attend Brighton Pride as a continued showing of support for the LGBT+ community.
“I haven't had the pleasure yet because last year we were back and forth trying to move and obviously this year it didn’t take place.
“My friends went and they had a fantastic time – they were dancing to Kylie Minogue! I think it's a fantastic event. There's a really positive and nice feeling in the city when it's on. It's really beautiful to experience.”
