Albion are through to the semi-finals of the Sussex Cup after overcoming Eastbourne Town’s spirited challenge at the Saffrons on Tuesday.
Early goals from Ben Wilson and Zac Emmerson put Albion in control and Todd Miller added a third late on.
Albion had to do defend well at times and the Southern Combination League hosts could consider themselves unfortunate not to have got on the scoresheet in a lively encounter.
There was a good crowd at the Saffrons and home fans were nearly celebrating in the second minute when Kevin Farragher glanced a header just wide at the near post.

But Albion took charge of the tie with two goals in the space of four minutes. In the fifth minute Miller broke down the left and his cross was steered home by Wilson.
The hosts were exposed again on the counter in Albion’s next attack when Wilson turned provider and Emmerson produced a smart finish past keeper Chris Winterton.
Albion could have had further goals before the break as they broke on Eastbourne at pace.
Wilson was denied by a smart low save from Winterton before drilling a low shot just wide of the far post. Matt Everitt also shot wide before a great run by the midfielder ended with a shot which beat Winterton and came back off the post before Dan Rogers got back to clear off the line.

Eastbourne played down the slope in the first half and got plenty of balls into the box, without testing keeper Adam Desbois too often, but the Albion no.1 was forced into action in the 49th minute to keep out Louis Veneti’s shot.
Wilson had two sights of goal but failed to hit the target as Albion looked for the third goal to kill off the tie, but the hosts, with their Pier Pressure ultras in fine voice behind the goal, kept plugging away and they were nearly celebrating when another effort from Veneti took a deflection off Leigh Kavanagh and came back off the bar.
Albion did get a third with nine minutes left when Miller’s shot was helped into the net by the unfortunate Sam Cole while substitute Elliot Jenks had a shot cleared off the line in the closing stages. Albion deserved to progress but they had been given a stern test.
Albion: Desbois, McConville, Miller, Jackson, Kavanagh, Hinchy, Ifill, Chouchane, Emmerson (Smith 80), Everitt (70), Wilson.
Subs: Cahill, Quershi, Hinshelwood.
