Albion will have the chance to win the Sussex Senior Cup for the third time since 2017 after booking their place in the final with a comfortable 3-1 win over Horsham in Tuesday’s semi-final at Culver Road.
First-half goals from Zac Emmerson and Andrew Moran put Albion in control and Ben Wilson got a third 11 minutes from time. Tom Day got a late consolation and Albion will face another Isthmian Premier Division side – leaders Worthing - in the Amex final.
Both sides had chances in a scrappy opening quarter. Moran dispossessed defender Day in the 13th minute but keeper Sam Howes blocked his shot with his legs. Horsham had a better opportunity three minutes later when James Beadle pushed out Tom Kavanagh’s shot to Lee Harding, but he blazed well over the target.

James Hinchy could only stab his shot wide of the post when Samy Chouchane found him in lots of space at the far post but Albion broke through in the 27th minute.
Emmerson seized on a poor pass by Harding and charged into the box before placing his right-foot shot beyond Howes and inside the far post.
It was a lovely finish and Moran produced another two minutes before the break. Benicio Baker-Boaitey’s cross was blocked, but Moran turned on the loose ball and drilled a low shot into the corner.
Albion should have extended their lead in stoppage time when Moran’s trickery and unselfish pass found Emmerson six yards out but he side-footed wide.

With a two-goal lead Albion played with confidence at the start of the second half and threatened to extend their lead. But they should have been pegged back in the 58th minute when Shamir Fenelon beat the offside trap but blazed his shot way over with only Beadle to beat.
Albion made the tie safe in the 79th minute. Full-back Casper Nilsson made a great run down the right and picked out the unmarked Wilson with a cross from the right which he side-footed into an empty net.

Day got a consolation after Albion failed to clear a corner with six minutes to go. Beadle did well to turn Fenelon’s deflected effort over the bar as Horsham belatedly applied some concerted pressure but Albion were worthy winners.
