Players headed to the Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital.

A group of our men’s first team players visited the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital in Brighton and Worthing Hospital on Thursday afternoon to spread some Christmas cheer.

The players handed out gifts - that were kindly donated by SnickersUK.com - and had pictures taken with children and staff, as they tried to lift spirits at what is no doubt an incredibly tough time.

Adam Lallana, Billy Gilmour, Jason Steele and Glenn Murray, alongside Gully, visited the Royal Alexandra, with Billy pleased to be able to put a few smiles on faces.

“We know it’s difficult at any time of year for families who have to bring their kids into hospital, let alone Christmas.

Players and staff also visited Worthing Hospital.

“It was great that giving out presents and having a chat with them put a smile on the children’s faces and it was great how happy they were to have pictures with us.”

Lewis Dunk, Pascal Gross, Andrew Crofts and Jack Stern went to Worthing Hospital, where Gully was also on hand to help out.

Pascal said, “The kids and families are going through a tough period right now, we want to try and help them have a good day with a few presents and pictures, even if it’s just a smile for a moment.

“It’s really important for us as a club to do it. It’s a great time to give something back to the local community. The kids are fighting every day and we want to make it a little easier for them if we can.”
