Last month Brighton & Hove Albion were shortlisted as finalists in the European Contact Centre and Customer Service Awards (ECCCSA) for their work with supporters during lockdown earlier this year.
A video has been produced, outlining the idea behind the scheme and the work Albion staff did during the first lockdown to stay in touch with fans, particularly elderly, disabled and vulnerable supporters.
Over 80 staff members – including head coach Graham Potter – made around 4500 phone calls, as well as assisting supporters with everyday jobs like picking up shopping and prescriptions.
Albion have been nominated in the 'giving something back' category alongside the likes of Tesco Bank and Co-op.
