Brighton & Hove Albion made it three wins from three games after securing a late victory away at Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
Tareq Shihab’s last-minute strike maintained Albion’s 100 per cent start to the season, following wins over West Ham United and Norwich City.
Kipras Kazukolovas had Albion’s first chance when he met Alex Cochrane’s delivery to the far post, but his header went over the bar.
Teddy Hoare came close to breaking the deadlock when his set piece struck the post, before Ben Clark-Eden’s follow-up strike was deflected just wide.
Ryan Longman then teed up Danny Cashman inside the box, and the latter’s overhead kick went narrowly wide.
Cochrane was next to hit the woodwork from Hoare’s free kick into the box, as Ian Buckman’s side pressed for a decisive winning goal.
The goal came courtesy of Shihab, who rifled home a close-range strike shot from Hoare’s corner.
Columbus Ibeh had a golden opportunity to double Albion’s lead after being played through on goal by Cashman, but he fired his shot straight at Spurs keeper Jonathan de Bie.
