- Albion secure a second win in two league games
- Ryan Longman scores the only goal of the game
- Tareq Shihab comes close to doubling Brighton’s lead
- The Seagulls are next in action away at Tottenham on Saturday
Brighton & Hove Albion made it two wins from two games after a 1-0 victory away at Norwich City on Saturday.
Ryan Longman’s first-half header was enough to secure a win over the Canaries, and continue Albion’s 100% start to the season.
Albion had the first chance of the game when Longman teed up Alex Cochrane on the edge of the box, but the latter’s shot went just wide.
Columbus Ibeh was next to try his luck for Ian Buckman’s side when his effort forced Norwich keeper Fergal Hale-Brown into a fine save.
The deadlock was broken courtesy of Longman, who met Cochrane’s cross at the far post with a glancing header .
Albion had a chance to double their advantage via another corner, as Teddy Hoare delivered a ball deep to the back post and Tareq Shihab headed over.
