Albion created chances on a cold night at the Broadfield Stadium, but were unable to breach a resolute West Ham United defence during the 90 minutes. The Continental Tyres League Cup match was decided on penalties. Megan Walsh performed heroics between the posts, saving all three West Ham penalties, and earning Jens Scheuer's team the extra point, but it was not enough to see Albion progress further in the competition.
